For 25 years The Prince's Trust has had a special relationship
with music. It was one of the first charities to organise
fundraising concerts, featuring stars as diverse as Sting, Paul
McCartney, Beyonce and Jay-Z.
Our many musical ambassadors have not only helped to raise
millions of pounds for The Trust over the years, but also helped us
secure huge amounts of publicity to help the hardest to reach young
people in the UK. Prince’s Trust Music Publishing is a logical step
forwards in this long term relationship.
The unique difference?
Unlike other publishers PT Music applies its publisher share
exclusively back to supporting The Prince's Trust’s charitable work
across the UK as well as offering a commercially competitive
service.
We are the only “good-cause” music publisher in the UK. Unlike
other good causes we offer a commercial service to our composers so
that you receive not only your composer share in full, but also
access to unique commercial outlets which only The Trust can
deliver.
There are other differences too. We know that many composers
want to share their skills with others less fortunate, and we
provide a framework to enable co-writing opportunities, composer
workshops and job-shadowing with young people.
As publishers we want to work with all composers and our
Composer Club is one way in which you can let us publish
individual works even if you’re with another publisher or if you
don’t want to be tied down to an exclusive deal.
The business is run by a professional team headed by Mike Cobb
with years of industry experience. The company’s catalogue is
administered internationally by Universal Music Publishing.
